Very very expensive laundry and the machines are not good working. We had to pay 7 $ for one washing machine which is the highest price I've ever had to pay in Australia and the washing mashine is not even big enough to put our usual amount of clothes inside. Anyway there was a very friendly and helpful lady who gave me some nice tips what to do and see and we had a very good chat. Thank you for that!
After reading the reviews I went in with an open mind. I found a lovely lady, that despite not being very well, is an absolute joy to talk to. I was welcomed to the town, given sightseeing tips, easily stood chatting while my washing was done. $7 a load is cheap for the atmosphere and quality of the machines. I used my own laundry liquid. Carried it out to hang in the sunshine, in my new place.The mention (in the reviews) of washing costing $24 is misleading. This price was for washing to be done through to folded stage, by staff (I am not certain how many loads are included in that price). I washed my own clothes. You need to take in money and exchange for tokens to go into the machines. I had a big clothes carry basket. It was two loads @$7ea. Done in around half an hour as I was given permission to use two machines at a time.In standing there I witnessed many locals coming in and out, obviously trusting Mrs Washalot to take care of them. She met everyone with open arms. Down to earth, in a historic town, providing genuine service.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Biggest rip off going u pay $7 load washing in a machine that is only $4a load . Owner wants be a ashame of herself.We have travelled outback Australia never paid that amount grrrrrtr dont go here.
Clean laundry and clean machines. Working people their are very respectful to others. Had wash thee loads of washing, which one was for woolen. My mistake was that I put too many clothing in. Also too much powder which didn't solved... The lady their, had rewashed them with no charge. I am very thankful, and also appreciated all.... :) :) :)
